So far we have had to prepare such queries but it requires an additional programming work. The database was just too big as I loaded over 300 millions of rows on a daily basis. The shortest history I have ever kept in the data warehouse project was two weeks. Sometimes it could be months but it could be several years as well. It depends of the kind of a business or a project. We are obliged to keep the historical data for some period of time.
